of making a film in our most popular workshop.
Understand different approaches to editing, watch examples of
documentary films as you craft your own. A Hands-on workshop in
which everyone is trained in basic Final Cut pro and provided

DV Documentary/DV Journalist 6 Day workshop
Workshop meets for six days in a row from 10:00am to 7:00pm,
Monday thru Saturday. Class members will go thru the process of
creating their own short documentary on one of San Francisco's
world famous neighborhoods.
The North Beach / Fisherman's Wharf section of San
Francisco will be the focus for your documentary film. Students
can make films about local poets, artists. performers.
shops and even explore the nightlife of this colorful
neighborhood.
The class will learn how to produce, direct and edit a
documentary using this fun project as a learning experience.
Class will also view and discuss selected documentaries.
This class will cover:

Every Student is provided with their own computer and
software during class. Students are encouraged to
bring their own camera.
